From Forte dell’Annunziata (Fort), just outside the walls of the historic center of Ventimiglia, you descend along a stepped path, passing through a lush pine forest, to reach Belvedere Pietra (Viewpoint), where a spectacular view opens up: To the east the town, the mouth of the Roja river, and the Marina di San Giuseppe harbor; to the north the Fortress; to the west the French coastline; and to the south all the boundless blue of the sea.<\/p>\n
